About

Lavender Bloom Lactation was born from my real life experiences of having gone through many postpartum periods and raising four children . My personal struggles with breastfeeding at times cultivated an interest and empathetic approach to learning more about the ins and outs, of the sometimes taboo topic, of infant feeding. I am proud to have exclusively breastfed, combo fed breastmilk and formula, supplemented with breastmilk, and supplemented with formula as all of these cumulative experiences have given me great insight into the challenges and choices parents today face. Making choices surrounding how to best feed your baby is something I will encourage and educate on regardless of what way you choose to do so. I have a very firm belief that we all make the best choice we possibly can with the resources and support provided. I aspire to be an International Board Certified Lactation Counselor (IBCLC) and help others with both joyful and difficult times on their infant feeding journeys.

Mission

With Lavender Bloom Lactation I will always hold onto the value of providing informative and evidence-based education along with respectful and compassionate care regarding infant feeding. Parents deserve support and readily available resources so that choices regarding your baby don’t have to feel stressful or isolating. I do not believe in a one size fits all approach. You deserve support tailored to your specific needs and desires.

Vision

The long term goal for Lavender Bloom Lactation is to achieve an IBCLC status. I believe that as I navigate through the necessary steps to do so I will gain great insight on how to best engage with and support families as they choose the best way to care for and nourish their infant. The experiences and knowledge I gain along the way will certainly help me to successfully complete my aspirations to become an IBCLC.
